A winter cover that turns a mug of hot chocolate into a ski slope.
In 2014 I won a year-long commission to create an infographic series for KoffieTcacao. After that year, they invited me to illustrate the winter cover of edition #13, a special issue full of chocolate stories.
The idea came from the season itself. A mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream is already a winter image. The question was what to do with it that felt unexpected and warm at the same time.
Tiny figures skiing, climbing and snowboarding across the whipped cream, treating the mug as a mountain. Playful enough to make you smile, grounded enough to feel right for a magazine that takes its subject seriously.
