Illustration

An illustration that makes the origin of Darjeeling tea feel tangible, atmospheric and alive.

Darjeeling gets described a lot. Flavour notes, altitude, first flush, second flush. All the things you read on the back of a tin.

For this illustration, I wanted to go somewhere else. Not the information, but the feeling. The softness of the hills, the scale of the landscape, the quiet rhythm of hands moving through leaves.

The image had to be beautiful and honest at the same time. Not a postcard. A place where you understand why the tea tastes the way it does.

Outcome

A visual story that lets the viewer experience Darjeeling before reading about it.
