Illustration

(01)

An illustration that makes the origin of Darjeeling tea feel tangible, atmospheric and alive.

Darjeeling is often described through flavour notes, altitude and harvesting methods.
But for this illustration, the challenge was to make that origin visible in a more immediate and human way.

Rather than creating a purely informative image, the aim was to capture the feeling of the place itself. The softness of the hills, the rhythm of hand-picking, the scale of the landscape, and the quiet care behind the tea.

The illustration needed to hold both beauty and process.
Not just a scenic view, but a world shaped by labour, climate and attention.

The goal was to create an image that could carry story without becoming overly literal. Something poetic enough to invite curiosity, but clear enough to communicate where the tea begins.
